I am contemporary landscape painter originally from Ireland now based in the crofting village of
Aird Uig on the west coast of the beautiful Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides
After graduating in Art & Design from the University of Ulster I moved to Newcastle-upon Tyne to complete a Post-graduate in Computer Applications in Art & Design and worked for many years as Computer Graphics Technician at New College Durham, lecturing part-time. I then moved to Northumberland where I worked for 16 years at Alnwick Playhouse in various roles from marketing & design to later managing the Playhouse Gallery part-time.
Over the past seven years I have been back developing my painting again, exploring new mediums and ways of working and progressing my ‘plein air’ pieces on a much larger scale. I now have a new studio space in Uig which I love very much.
I am happy to take commissions and have been lucky recently to work with a number of clients from across the
UK, Ireland and the United States.
