I am contemporary landscape painter originally from Ireland. I graduated in Art & Design from the University of Ulster, specializing in Surface Pattern, before moving to Newcastle-upon Tyne to complete a Post-graduate in Computer Applications in Art & Design. I worked for many years as Computer Graphics Technician at New College Durham, lecturing part-time and then later as a graphic designer in Newcastle before moving to Northumberland. Many people will know me from Alnwick Playhouse where I have worked for the past 15 years in various roles from box office to marketing & design and now managing the Playhouse Gallery part-time.

Throughout the past five years I have been back developing my painting again, exploring new mediums and ways of working and progressing my ‘plein air’ pieces on a much larger scale. In February 2019 I became a resident artist at The Old Bath House Studios and have enjoyed being a part of the many open studio events there. This November (13th & 14th) will be my last open studio at the Bathhouse as I am currently in the process of establishing a new studio space in Uig on the beautiful Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, which I love very much.

In 2022 I will be taking part in my first Open Studio Hebrides when you will be able to come visit me here in my new studio, an old converted byre in Aird Uig!

I am happy to take commissions and have been lucky recently to work with a number of clients from across the UK, Ireland and the United States.
